Getting Started

This guide will walk you through installing Relay Control and creating your first project.

System Requirements

Before installing Relay Control, ensure your system meets the following requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10/11, macOS 11+, or Ubuntu 20.04+
  • Memory: 4GB RAM minimum, 8GB recommended
  • Storage: 500MB available disk space
  • Display: 1280x720 minimum resolution

Installation

Step 1: Download

Visit the Download page and select the installer for your operating system.

Step 2: Install

Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions:

  • Windows: Double-click the .exe file and follow the installation wizard.
  • macOS: Open the .dmg file and drag Relay Control to your Applications folder.
  • Linux: Extract the .tar.gz archive and run the installer script.

Step 3: Launch

Open Relay Control from your applications menu or desktop shortcut. On first launch, you'll be guided through initial setup.

Creating Your First Project

1. Create a New Project

From the welcome screen, click New Project. Enter a project name and select a location to save your project files.

2. Import Design Documents

Drag and drop your design documents into the project workspace, or use File → Import to browse for files. Relay Control supports:

  • Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx, .xls)
  • CSV files (.csv)
  • PDF documents (.pdf)
  • Word documents (.docx)

3. Configure Extraction Rules

Use the extraction editor to define how data should be parsed from your documents. You can use built-in templates or create custom extraction patterns.

4. Validate and Generate

Run validation to check your extracted data against your configured rules. Once validation passes, generate your control system outputs.
